Experience our Fynbos Candle, a tantalising bouquet for those looking for something rich, spicy & woody paired with a South African wine from the region that inspired it.

The Muse:
A wild and spicy scent inspired by the native scrubland of South Africa's Western Cape where wild fynbos plants grow on the rugged sun drenched terroir.

This intoxicating scent infuses the air and vineyards with unique and spicy aromatics of grapefruit, rose & freesia, underpinned by fragrant juniper, bitter orange and cinnamon, on a woody base of vetiver, amber and anise.

The Bouquet:
Top Notes: Grapefruit, Rose, Freesia, Bergamot,
Middle Notes: Juniper, Orange, Violet Leaf, Mint, Cinnamon
Bottom Notes: Vetiver, Amber, Anise, Balsam

The Wine:

Bruwer Raats is the grower and wine maker of this wine and he just loves the underated Cabernet Franc grape, and has made it his mission to bring out the best from his 25 – 35 year-old-vines grown in dolomite granite soils of Stellenbosch. The grapes for this wine are hand-picked and hand-sorted, and after fermentation this wine went through a malolactic fermentation in stainless steel before being aged in 300 litre French oak barriques for 14 months. Expect bags of smoky blackberries, dark cherries and hints of leather and fynbos on the nose in Raats Dolomite Cabernet Franc. This draws you in to savour the succulent, spicy black fruit flavours coupled with good structure and length; very moreish, fresh and full-bodied at the same time!
