From the world renowned La Rioja Alta winery this is an absolute cracker and hands down favourite. Consistently snagging 90 plus points across the board for its generosity of fruit, well judged oak and all around finesse.
This world-famous cuvée offers remarkable complexity. The attention to detail allows us to identify tannins with an optimal finesse and with the fruit intact. This wine is similar to some of the great Bordeaux wines, but does not lose any of the elegance and grace of the Rioja terroirs.
Expect intense and brilliant garnet color with a vivid ruby rim. On the nose, it stands out for its high intensity, with notes of red fruits—raspberries, wild strawberries, and redcurrants— wrapped in a marked balsamic aroma of caramel, vanilla, toffee, and roasted coffee. On the palate, it is long, balanced, and fresh, with fine and silky tannins. A long finish, where the initial balsamic and fresh red fruit aromas characteristic of Viña Alberdi reappear.
